Carmichaels Carmichaels

Carmichaels one of Antigua’s newest restaurants and is located at Sugar Ridge. The restaurant sits on top of the ridge overlooking the whole of Jolly Harbour Marina and the palm fringed beaches out towards the neighbouring islands of Nevis, St Kitts and Redonda on the horizon. To say that the sunsets from here are sensational is an understatement. There’s a swimming pool next to Carmichaels Bar so that guests can have the benefit of the fabulous views throughout the day, and can dip and dine and spend hours enjoying the unique location.

The Carmichael kitchen team is headed up by Head Chef Matt Westwood with separate menus for lunch and dinner, utilizing the freshest ingredients available the local farmers and fishermen each day. Dishes such as Chicken Breast stuffed with jerk spices, pancetta, zucchini, puree of sweet potatoes & deep fried sage and Cajun seasoned Mahi Fillet with confit tomato, bok choy, black olives and sauté potatoes, quickly tempt the palate.

Leading from the front as they say is Clifford Haynes who is well known on the island for his superb smile, great professionalism and affable nature., coupled with his excellent knowledge of wines guarantees you excellent service in a perfect setting Opening days for lunch are variable whilst dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Reservations definitely recommended. On arrival at Sugar Ridge you will be taken by shuttle to Carmichaels.
