Antigua’s green energy

Small island nations are generally at a disadvantage when it comes to technology transfer and technological innovation. That is because their populations are small and the business opportunities are limited. However, over the years we have been working in the Caribbean, we have met a number of entrepreneurs who have been very good at ‘adaptive innovation’ i.e. taking a technological development that is happening in a wealthy highly developed market and customising it to deliver a quality and value for money result in a small country environment. This month’s story is about a person who has achieved such success overseas and is now in the process of using adaptive innovation to help advance his home country of Antigua and Barbuda.
