The Summer Project
Tamara Mannix is the founding member of The Summer Project (”Sperading sunshine one ray at a time”), a new charity dedicated to assisting persons with sickle cell anaemia medically and financially in order to help preserve their quality of life.
The Team started in January 2009 with 6 members. Fundraisers are hosted monthly and monies made from these events go directly toward the medical and financial support of a sickler.
Throughout 2009, The Summer Project hosted the following fund-raising events:
- Monthly Trivia for Charity events at Food Fantasies
- Monthly Bake Sales outside the Epicurean at Woods Mall
- A Pre Xmas Fund-raising Dance at Food Fantasies
