ICT Fest
The Antigua and Barbuda’s ICTFEST is the largest event of its kind both locally and regionally and has been tagged the premier technology festival in the OECS. The annual ICT Fest always promises to be a huge success as it attracts audiences regionally and internationally
The annual ICTFEST in Antigua is part of the Government’s commitment aimed at ensuring the integration and adaptation of state of the art information and communication technologies in all spheres of national life.
The event takes places on Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 from 9:30am to 9:00pm at the Multipurpose Cultural & Exhibition Center, Perry Bay, St. John’s.
The ICTFEST Reloaded looked at different areas of the Technology field and examined different ways of incorporating less highlighted uses of technology into their competitions. To that end, ICTFEST Reloaded has introduced the first ever Amateur Photography and Graphic Design competitions.
The ICTFEST 2010 committee says that the Graphic Design and Amateur Photography competitions will empower and highlight members of the general public who have a creative eye that they can showcase through with the use of technology.
Entries must be submitted to ictfestphotos@gmail.com by 11:59pm (AST), Friday, 10th September, 2010. Full competition rules and guidelines can be obtained from the Spotlight on ICTFEST located at the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s website.
Judging will be done by the ICTFEST 2010 committee’s judges, and there will also be a Peoples’ Choice Award. Voting for the Peoples’ Choice Award will take place at the annual ICTFEST on Wednesday, 15th September, 2010 at the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Science and Technology’s booth.
