Caribana

The Barbuda Carnival, Caribana, is getting bigger each year in Antigua & Barbuda. While Barbuda’s Caribana bears little resemblance to the grand spectacle of the festivities in other larger islands, the five day festival in Barbuda has unique elements that make it a memorable event.

Also among the revellery and splendor of Caribana come and witness exciting & captivating daytime activities such as the Leewards islands Classic Horse Race which is certainly one of the premier events during caribana, the car & bike show, Our fun filled beach bash and mouth watering seafood and wildlife delights at our food fair.

As Caribana continues to grow from year to year, visitors to Barbuda’s shores can continue to enjoy our islands most famour cuisine and its pristine white sandy beaches surrounded by crystal clear waters.

Our festival which runs from May 20th – May 24th 2010 is an explosion of culture and excitement. Carnival in Barbuda, Caribana, is a five day event with a packed schedule with a Junior Calypso Competition, Teen Splash Competition,Calypso Monarch Competition and much more.

May 21st , 2010:

4.30pm: Opening Parade - Village to Caribana Grounds

8.30pm: Youth Explosion night- Caribana Grounds

May 22nd , 2010:

10.30am: Beach Bash and Food Fair-Martello Tower

8.30pm: All Star Night-Caribana Grounds

May 23rd, 2010:

10.30am: Beach party: Coral Group Bay

8.30pm: Calypso Monarch Competition- Caribana Grounds

May 24 ,2010:

5.00am: Jouvert-from Caribana Grounds to Village
